Approach:

My approach in session is all about meeting you where you’re at and taking realistic steps towards where you want to be. I am a strong proponent of the humanistic approach, which means I believe no one knows you better than yourself. I am also a strong proponent of dialectical thinking, so our sessions may spend time confronting your anxiety or depression with many different perspectives.

Does the weight of your concerns turn into a heaviness in your chest that you can’t seem to shake?

Do you feel as though you can only trust yourself with your thoughts and feelings?

Do you feel stuck, afraid to change, that you’re unworthy of change?

You don’t have to feel this way, and you don’t have to tackle your feelings alone. In our sessions we’ll spend time focusing on what is important to you and set goals to help you live a life you never thought possible.

My goal is that you leave our sessions feeling a little less of that weight in your chest, and a little more hopeful for tomorrow.

I want to learn all about your mind and soul, I want you to feel wholly understood and validated when we speak.

I will be your cheerleader, your confidant, and your guide to emotional regulation and balance.

We’ll go over practical tools and challenge negative thought patterns, I’ll be here for support every step of the way, until you get to where you want to be.

There is a version of you that does not have to live with overwhelming anxiety or depression.

Let’s make that version of you a reality, let’s take steps towards a life you love.

Who I help:

Children, Adolescents and Adults who struggle with depression and anxiety.

How I help:

I will listen to your concerns without judgment and with an open mind, we will work together to develop coping strategies that work best for you.

What my clients say about working with me:

Mars is casual and direct. She will confront negative and harmful patterns of thought and teach you how to do it on your own.

Off the Clock:

I solo travel a lot to fuel my passion for the arts! I love attending concerts and spending long periods of time at art museums or historical sites.

Fun Fact:

My sister and I have matching tattoos for every city we’ve been to together!

An excerpt from the poem Starlings in Winter by Mary Oliver

I want to–

think again of dangerous and noble things

I want to be light and frolicsome.

I want to be improbable beautiful and afraid of nothing,

as though I had wings.
